Professional Development (TESOL 2012)

Sarah DeMola and I participated in the Graduate Student Forum at the TESOL 2012 convention where we presented: “Professional Development & Community Involvement Through Teaching” The purpose was to give the community an understanding of our work since January 2011 with hopes to provide ideas to the graduate community as well as share our findings from our published work.

Abstract: This paper was written to illustrate the professional development of four pre-service graduate students at a local non-for-profit organization. Their work originated as a curriculum design project that has expanded into a self-sustained, graduate student-led ESL program in their local community. They will discuss their future vision and provide materials.

Video of our presentation will be uploaded soon.
